BRING UP PAST POLITICAL CRIMES?

Now it's all over the news that Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, who is also a presidential candidate, has an eight-generations-ago ancestor in common with Vice-President Dick Cheney.

I just love these findings which keep us reminded that, according to the Constitution, "all persons born" or naturalized in the United States are full-rights citizens. And according to the Declaration of Independence, all are supposed to be equal.

But the story of an inherent equality between a black Senator and a white Vice-President doesn't end there. An earlier news item in the Chicago Sun Times, September 9th, states it has been discovered that Obama and President Bush ALSO are cousins, going back 11 generations to their common ancestor in Massachusetts.

Even though it is more clear than ever there never has been legal justification for discriminating against people on the basis of race, it's hard not to laugh at Obama's campaign spinning it this way: "Obviously, Dick Cheney is sort of the black sheep of the family."

What has not been reported, though, is the possible significance of the Bush-Obama ancestor's name. The Sun Times states these two illustrious men share the same great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents -- Samuel Hinckley and Sarah Soole Hinckley of 17th century Massachusetts. Does the name Hinckley ring a bell?

That name has been stuck in my craw for two decades, because when John Hinckley Jr shot President Reagan, the American people were not told the truth about all the alarming connections between the Hinckley family and the Bush family. Why alarming? Because Bush Sr would have defaulted into the presidency in 1981 if Hinckley Jr's murder-attempt had been successful.

The media at the time said the Hinckley and Bush families "barely know each other," but that was blatantly untrue. And while we were thrown red-herring stories that sensationally focused on Hinckley Jr's supposed obsession with actress Jodie Foster, the American people were not being told what they really needed to know.

Now that it's known there is a Bush-Hinckley bloodline connection -- and the elite families in America DO make a point of knowing their genealogy -- the Hinckley shooting of Ronald Reagan takes on even more potential significance.

John Hinckley Sr nominated George Bush Sr for president at the 1980 Republican convention, but Reagan got it instead and Bush became vice-president. Oilmen and Houston neighbors such as the Bushes and the Hinckleys had not wanted Reagan and his anti-corporate-favoritism attitudes in office, and Bush did not want to wait until 1988 for a chance at the presidency. But there it was, Bush was only VP -- although also known as "a heartbeat away from the presidency."

Two months after Reagan took office, Hinckley's son shot him and nearly killed him. Was the young man crazy about Jodie Foster, or was he obsessed with eliminating the obstacle to his dad's choice-for-president?

A further disturbing connection was that Hinckley Jr had worked at his dad's "World Vision" camp, an organization depicted as "the world's largest Christian relief agency." There, young Hinckley befriended Mark David Chapman, who also worked there. Chapman went on to shoot John Lennon in December of 1980, and then Hinckley shot Reagan three months later. Both were carrying the book, "A Catcher in the Rye," which some say is used to condition young men to kill.

Does anybody else get the creeps that two young men from an agency -- where Bush-buddy Hinckley Sr was president -- became assassins within months of each other? And CURRENTLY creepy to me were some Canton businesses on October 16th asking customers if they want to contribute $1.00 to World Food Day, World Vision's fundraiser. I said, "No thanks," and probably should have added, "I'm not sure what the money will REALLY sponsor!" More coincidental assasins?

It gets worse. The day after Reagan's shooting, a bewildered John Chancellor announced on the news that the vice-president's son and the shooter's brother had a dinner party scheduled "for this evening, but the event is now cancelled."

Ya think?! Had they planned to celebrate something? Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hinckley were scheduled as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Bush -- but the media still insisted the families barely knew each other, and went back to chasing down Jodie Foster. You know, "look over here, don't look over there!"

And meanwhile, a friend of mine who worked as a policy analyst in the Reagan-Bush White House noted that George Bush Sr "looked awfully green around the gills" as The Gipper continued not to die, and as a few drops of the Bush-Hinckley closeness dribbled into public awareness. Bush wouldn't publicly comment, and his press secretary stonewalled with "I don't know a damn thing about it."

I think those few drops of information about a Bush-Hinckley party scheduled for the day after the shooting should have become a tsunami of an investigation into what was really going on. I sincerely believe that certain elite Americans long ago should have been thrown into prison instead of thrust into power. And I grieve for my country which ignores all the Bush and Bin Laden connections that have caused us to go down the darkest and most dangerous road we've ever known.

Clues People In to Evil in the U.S.

How amazing to read the account from a grown reporter at a local newspaper -- all caught up in the excitement of the final Harry Potter book. That's what I thought at first. But after looking into the phenomenon from an educational perspective, I get it! I now see how Potter fans have good reasons for their enthusiasm.

When the first book came out, there were such critical matters of life and death going on close to me that I was not attracted to a novel about such realities, nor did I have time for it, for years.

And the brief excerpt I had read in a magazine deeply alarmed me. Harry's arch-nemesis Voldemort was a character was so murderously evil that I thought it was wrong to expose child readers to such darkness.

That was 10 years ago. As my dear husband's long recovery sidelined us from most activities outside the house, we both turned to the computer to "get a life." What a blessing that on the worldwide web, we could "go" anywhere day or night for our educational searches.

There was my own never-ending quest to understand "why the world is the way it is" -- such as, where is all the humanitarian progress so glowingly predicted in the 1950's and '60's? What happened to the end of war, famine, poverty, and disease that seemed so reasonably within reach in the prosperous times after WWII? This is where my real-world quest links up with the value of the fictional Harry Potter saga.

As declassified documents became available online, as voices with no previous outlets began to spill the beans, as government operatives retired and published online essays and hardcopy books about vast government deceptions against the American people, I recalled the shocking level of Voldemort's evil in Harry Potter.

I began to be able to get my mind around the reality of evil in the U.S. -- because it had been so well presented in fiction in the U.K. I suddenly understood Walter Lippman's famous comment: "The news and the truth are often two different things."

I think now that too many baby-boomers who grew up in "Happy Days America" are locked in a La-La Land that we did indeed experience, but which entirely omitted the dark side of the coin that people need to know in order to protect themselves, their children, and their nation.

And then their children grew up in the same blissful ignorance -- plus more sports, music, and entertainment distractions than the world has ever seen before.

Enter the Harry Potter mania: books avidly read by adults and children alike. The author grew up immersed in the more realistic perspectives of Britain's often bloody and sinister history, which results in a wisdom significantly deeper than we're blessed with here.

UNLESS -- you, too, wonder what happened to the promise of America and seek to absorb the declassified documents. Unless you, too, learn of the covert crimes that gangsters in our government have been committing for decades, at home and abroad.

The hard part has been believing that level of Evil is real. I had always thought atrocities came from people who were just out of their minds, and were rather isolated incidents at that. The shocking truth is, though, that highly focused evil people do exist, that they get thrills (and profits!) from causing harm and sorrow and death, and that their long-term goal to rise to the top of the American system has been almost entirely realized.

For example, certain ones in power right now have been cycling in and out of positions in the White House, Congress, and the Pentagon for over 30 years!

And this has nothing to do with Republican or Democrat. Both of those affiliations are simply used as platforms from which these powerful profiteers enjoy spouting patriotic rhetoric and slogans, then laugh behind closed doors at the increasingly impoverished and sacrificed state of the American people.

The media noted after the September 11th attacks that youngsters who were Harry Potter fans handled the shock better than their parents, who weren't clued-in to ever expect such a thing. And now many of those fans are significant hounds of justice who know that evil -- true to form -- disguises itself. Evil too often infiltrates your life as that which you always trusted most, including pedophile priests and "patriotic" politicians.

Worse, especially in the political practicality of Who Rules, government gangsters plan and carry out the atrocities, then frame up others as the culprits -- whereupon we submit our blood and treasure to attack and occupy the innocent people they want us to. This supreme dirty trick is no secret, especially since Marine hero Gen. Smedley Butler published his "War is a Racket" pamphlet in 1935, widely available online.

It's time to grow up, America, to become as mature as the kids who read Harry Potter. We've got to recognize the evil ones whom we've foolishly believed, and put in charge of our nation -- and by default -- in charge of the world. The Constitution allows us to remove them from power! Then we must be wise and understand that deceitful ones will always try to deliberately create this world's wars and diseases and poverty conditions again.

DON IMUS, GEORGE BUSH, 9/11, IRAQ --
ALL THE SAME IGNORANCE!

I see the Don Imus imbroglio in context with what must be a much-needed Shift in Consciousness.

How such a low-life foul-mouth got paid for his poison in the first place is the mystery for me.

How an inarticulate, bumbling phony Christian from the Bush Crime Family ever got a vote in the first place is a mystery to me.

How anybody believed there was a valid reason to invade Iraq is a mystery to me.

How anyone would think that "Muslim fundamentalists" could override all U.S. defenses without inside help is a mystery to me.

Suddenly, most of these things are seen as the big mistakes that they have been all along, much to the anguish of people like myself and my husband and our network -- who can't fathom how anybody went along with such shocking intellectual and social ignorance in the first place.

I guess they've had to see some things play out -- at the expense of so much cruelty to humanity -- in order to "get it" that our society has been utterly negligent in the most minimal areas of human morality and responsibility.

Better now than never. But none of this should have been allowed to metastasize out into our world in the first place!

HOW 9/11 NEARLY HAPPENED IN THE 1960'S

A few months before September 11th, a seemingly kooky and irrelevant news story was circulated by ABC. It was about James Bamford's book, "Body of Secrets," which featured declassified documents that revealed a shocking plot by the U.S. Joint Chiefs 40 years earlier.

In an official proposal to President Kennedy, our top military men sought approval to hijack American airliners, blow up an American troop ship, and kill American citizens with "terrorist bombs." (Entire ABC news story at link below.)

I say kooky and irrelevant because obviously, that never happened, and who cares about something that never happened 40 years ago? But in retrospect of 9/11, which occurred only a few months after the ABC report, the kooky becomes plausible, and the irrelevant becomes all too significant.

The purpose of the outrageous 1962 plan, named "Operation Northwoods," was to blame Cuba and Castro for numerous deadly acts on American soil. This then would create national and international support to invade the island, eliminate Castro -- and restore Cuba to the U.S. corporate, mob, and military profits that had flourished there before Castro rose to power.

Oh, yes, and "wipe out a communist state so close to our shores." This angle was the only reason for hostility towards Cuba that the American public was allowed to hear. Every other day or so, newspapers and newscasts and school-teachers and some religious leaders fearfully expounded upon the danger to us, now that the communists had gotten so close.

But it just wouldn't do for the predatory profit motives to be bandied about. Would the American people be willing to jump on a war-wagon if they knew the mob just wanted their casinos and brothels back? Would we care enough to invade over Nixon's losses because Castro took over his Pepsi plant? Would we want to attack Cuba for the sake of then-little-known George H.W. Bush and the security of his Zapata Offshore drilling rigs?

I don't think so. So "the communist threat" angle was hammered away at. All it would take would be a trigger event for the revved-up American public to lock and load and head off to throttle Castro, with the Joint Chiefs being sure that "Castro's terrorist acts" would do the trick -- would succeed in sending our blood and treasure off to war on a false pretext.

As an example of how to nail this down, the Joint Chiefs eagerly blathered: "We could blow up a U.S. ship (with its crewmen) in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba" -- "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."

Helpful. This is what our top military men in 1962 believed was "helpful." Upon leaving office in January of 1961, President Eisenhower had warned us about the "military-industrial complex" trying to take over our nation. Now we know what he was talking about!

It's not known if President Kennedy directly nixed the nefarious plot. But it got as high as Defense Secretary McNamara, who stamped it "return to sender."

This was, however, only a continuation of U.S. covert efforts to re-own Cuba. Vice-President Nixon and CIA Bush (although he denies it) had both been involved in planning and procuring materiel for the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion, which was to appear as a Cuban exile movement to take back their country. And certainly, former wealthy Cuban owners of land-and-peasants were as motivated as crooked American interests were, to get back their island fiefdom and cash cow.

The Bay of Pigs plotters had been at work on this almost from the first day Castro took over in 1959. Nixon as VP was planning on ascending to the presidency in 1960 and would then have the commander-in-chief powers to see the invasion through. When JFK won the election instead and inherited the covert operation, he agreed to allow it as long as U.S. Marines and Navy jets were not officially involved.

The plotters thought that when push came to shove, JFK would cave after all and "send in the Marines," as NIxon had planned to do. But Kennedy refused to commit outright acts of war when the time came, in April of 1961, and Bay of Pigs disastrously failed.

Then in 1962 his administration shot down the next plan -- the Joint Chiefs' Northwoods domestic terrorism plot -- and well, it's easy to see how the Nixon-Bush-mob-military-and-Miami-Cubans' hatred for JFK became suspects in his assassination the following year. Was that the next operation designed to get what they wanted -- or at least to "remove an obstacle" to what they wanted? The hit may have been one of their plots that finally succeeded.

And what does all this have to do with the September 11th attacks, 40 years later? Very simply, another outrageous plan was afoot in 2000, entitled Project for a New American Century (PNAC). And even though George H.W. Bush's son would lose the popular vote for the presidency, this time there would be no upset in the plans as to who would be in office to help carry it out.

Gov. Jeb Bush's lieutenants in Florida had employed a system designed to target opposition voters as "felons," to prevent them from voting. Agitators were hired and brought in to disrupt the vote recount. Then a corrupt force within the Supreme Court sealed the deal and anointed George Jr as U.S. President.

The "right" president was now in place to see matters through for the NEW Operation Northwoods, for the NEW plan to commit terrorism on American soil in order to generate support for invasion of lands and resources that the military-industrial complex now desired -- such as the oil in Iraq and the heroin poppies in Afghanistan.

(Why DO they call him "Poppy" Bush anyway?)

Jeb Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and others had signed on to this PNAC proposal to shift U.S. spending away from domestic programs for the American people, to military and corporate booty for the elite -- this time in the Middle East. And the document openly suggested that "a new Pearl Harbor" would be necessary to prod the nation and the world onto their war wagon, to do the fighting and the dying.

Right on cue, George W. Bush called it "a new Pearl Harbor" when the domestic terrorism occurred on 9/11. They even took a page directly from Northwoods -- by hijacking airliners and ensuring that "casualty lists would cause a wave of helpful indignation."

Indignation indeed. We immediately waged war upon (invaded/occupied) Afghanistan, where Castro, I mean, Osama bin Laden supposedly was. And when Saddam Hussein could in no way be linked to 9/11, then came the propaganda of what a threat that debilitated Iraq was to our nation.

At least Cuba actually did become a threat with Soviet missiles placed there -- and the military madmen became practically orgasmic that their much-wanted war on Cuba was now justified. But Kennedy's concerns about not triggering a U.S./Soviet all-out nuclear annihilation prevailed, and thus our world was safe.

In 2001, however, with the "right" president in place, the American evildoers got their war. And they gleefully, I mean direly, predict that this one -- as a war on terror, a war of terror, everywhere they can provoke it -- will go on and on and on.

Ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching go the armaments profits -- the armaments profits that Samuel Bush learned to promote on the War Board in World War One. The arms profits that Prescott Bush's bank arranged with Hitler leading up to World War Two. The arms profits that George H.W. Bush attempted with Cuba, succeeded with in Operation Desert Storm, and reaps today as spokesman for The Carlyle Group. The arms profits that George W. Bush ensures by taking our nation to war on false pretenses. What a lovely American family!

Most Americans (and definitely the rest of the world) see by now that Arab radicals could not have arranged for our multi-billion-dollar, state-of-the-art U.S. defenses to stand down on September 11th. But PNAC signers Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney were in key positions in the Pentagon and the White House that day. They could have intercepted what Rumsfeld called "the missile" that hit the Pentagon. But they didn't.

And close on the heels of this realization comes the understanding that blaming Muslim extremists -- just as Operation Northwoods wanted to frame "Cuban terrorists" -- provides the excuse they needed to rape and pillage and plunder the Middle East.

That was precisely the PNAC plan -- as outrageous as the Operation Northwoods plan -- the PNAC plan that Jeb Bush, William Kristol, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Scooter Libby, Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, William Bennett and other cynical profiteers signed onto for a New American Century.

But there's nothing new about it. It's the same old criminal consciousness from 1962 that wanted to callously kill American citizens, blame it on others, then use our soldiers and our taxes to enrich themelves and to impoverish us.

JFK prevented all that at the time, and probably paid the price. But on September 11th, 2001-- with a number of Kennedys eliminated by then -- it finally was pulled off -- against the American people, and against all peace and decency in the world.

The question now is, what are we going to do?
